Efrain Prieto came to Santa Fe 17 years ago, and today is one of the top real estate producers not only in the city, but internationally, specializing in luxury homes and commercial-investment properties. Efrain’s concern for the needs of his clients, his artistic sensibility and passion for beauty, his excellence in negotiation, his honesty, his strong business skills, and his superior service have put him in the ranks of the prestigious Council of Residential Specialists and Prudential International President’s Circle. He’s highly respected in the real estate world due to his penchant for hard work, his integrity and his great understanding of the industry; he feels it a privilege to work with the many award-winning builders of custom and luxury homes he represents.
A resident of both San Miguel de Allende and Santa Fe, Efrain says, “I love bringing people and art together.” With a natural artistic talent, he earned a degree in fine arts, then moved to Florence, also living for a time in Palo Alto, New York, Israel before settling for a time in London. Returning to Mexico, Efrain became Art/Marketing Director for a major Mexican newspaper where he learned to produce under pressure.
In 1990 Efrain further honed his design and entrepreneurial abilities when he moved to Santa Fe and opened his home furnishings store Eclectica—it soon became a local favorite. Out of his San Miguel product studio he designed and oversaw the manufacture of wholesale home furnishings which he supplied to design firms and boutiques in Scottsdale as well as to his own Santa Fe store. Efrain loved working closely with designers, architects, home owners and developers from all over the world, including the Walt Disney Corporation. Efrain sees homes as living art. Before he introduces a property to a client, he carefully arranges and edits furnishings for maximum beauty and impact to enhance the experience of what it would be like to live there. His motto is, “Mi casa es tu casa.”
Efrain is passionate about Santa Fe, city of the arts, where he brings heart to all his endeavors, including his dynamic organization, The Efrain Prieto Group. His eye for design, his personal warmth and ability to work well with many kinds of people is reflected in the love and respect he enjoys from, not only a wide array of Santa Feans, but everyone he meets.
